After (2012)

Magnetic Dreams delivered 200+ VFX shots for After, by director Ryan Smith. Hats off to everyone who worked so diligently on this project. I was responsible for generating exterior “darkness” elements using FumeFX, for both wide shots and close-ups. In addition to the darkness effect, I modeled and sculpted a few props, using Softimage and Zbrush, and handled some texturing in Mari. I also supported the overall pipeline with Python-based tools in Softimage. Finally, I helped develop a shading pipeline for our hero creature, the “Guardian”, which was modeled, textured, and lit by Jeff Greulich and rigged by Steve Alley.
